A prominent Johannesburg firm is looking for an insurance director with a strong, portable book of business. The role offers the chance to build and lead a dedicated insurance team while working with a firm committed to developing specialist practices in key market segments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage insurance coverage disputes, third-party claims, and policy interpretation matters. 2. Advise insurers and reinsurers on regulatory compliance, policy drafting, and claims management. 3. Lead High Court insurance litigation and manage complex multi-party claims to resolution. 4. Drive business development and maintain established insurer and broker relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Admitted attorney with substantial insurance law experience at director level. 2. Strong understanding of short-term, life, and professional indemnity insurance frameworks. 3. Proven track record in High Court insurance litigation alongside advisory work. 4. Established relationships within the South African insurance industry (book of business).
